ME, MYSELF, AND EYE

ME-ALITY

Steppin’ off the edge of reality,

I only see what I wanna see,

I diss-agree with the powers that be ’cause

It’s all about me me me!

Aqua Buddha, I salute ya!

Take another monster-bong-hit off me.

Are you frightened of the dark?

Would you like to jump the shark?

With ME–

–Diocrity,

Don’t look, just see

ME-ality!

I couldn’t sleep but then I had a dream,

I couldn’t wake-up and it made me scream,

Things are never always what they seem and

Let me tell you ’bout my latest scheme.

Aqua-Buddha, I salute ya!

Take another monster-bong-hit off me.

Are you frightened of the dark?

Would you like to jump the shark?

With ME–

–Diocrity,

Don’t look, just see

ME-ality!

Well, I don’t think and I can’t conceive,

And I don’t know but I do believe.

I’m always cryin’ but I never grieve and

If I could you better know I’d leave.

Aqua-Buddha, I salute ya!

Take another monster-bong-hit off me.

Are you frightened of the dark?

Would you like to jump the shark?

With ME–

–Diocrity,

Don’t look, just see

ME-ality!

Listen to me as I sing my song,

It doesn’t matter if I’m right or wrong,

I’ve got a special place where you belong and

I’ll make it up as we go along.

Aqua-Buddha, I salute ya!

Take another monster-bong-hit off me.

Are you frightened of the dark?

Would you like to jump the shark?

With ME–

–Diocrity,

Don’t look, just see

ME-ality!

Steppin’ of the edge of reality

With ME!

TURN ME ON DEAD MAN

Seems like yesterday, but it was long ago

When I first heard you play, when I first saw the show

And something touched my soul, beyond the rock and roll,

Forever never ends, so rest in peace my friend…

This is now, that was then,

Gotta hear it again,

And I know you can,

So please play it once more,

With the echo of four

Turn me on dead man,

Though you’re gone, (George, John) turn me on!

Vibratory strings divine

Feed my head and blow my mind

One more time!

That was then, this is now,

But I’ll make it somehow,

Though at timesĀ I grieve.

But they can’t take away

All the songs you still play,

And I still believe,

Though you’re gone, (George, John) turn me on!

Vibratory strings divine

Feed my head and blow my mind

One more time!

This is this, that was that,

But you’re still where it’s at,

I’m your biggest fan!

Hope to thank you someday,

Until then I’ll just say:

Turn me on dead man,

Though you’re gone, (George, John) turn me on!

Vibratory strings divine

Feed my head and blow my mind

One more time!

One more time!

One more time, one more time, one more time, one more time!

Seems like yesterday, but it was long ago

But somewhere you still play, and somehow you still know.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW?

Once you were high above me

Looking on down.

And when I needed you

You never could be found.

You never really knew me,

You only looked right through me.

What do you know, do you know?

I know some people think that

Life’s just a game.

They only help themselves,

And never feel ashamed.

They worship wealth and power

With hearts so cold and sour.

What do you know, do you know?

What do you know, and is it really so?

What do you know, do you know?

What do you feel, and is it really real?

What do you know, do you know?

Is it so, do you know?

So if you only take and

You never give,

You might just lose your soul

And have no place to live.

And after that tomorrow

You’re left with only sorrow.

What do you know, do you know?

But if you want to see just

Open your eyes.

Will you believe them now,

Or someone else’s lies?

One thing for damn sure’s true;

The choice is up to you.

What do you know, do you know?

What do you know, and is it really so?

What do you know, do you know?

What do you feel, and is it really real?

What do you know, do you know?

Is it so, do you know?

Once you were high above me

Looking on down.

And when I needed you

You never could be found.

You never really knew me,

You only looked right through me.

What do you know, do you know?

SIMPLE MAN

I am just a simple man, a simple man am I,

And since I am a simple man I’ll laugh until I cry.

I am just a little boy in a world insane,

Dogs eat dogs, but I know that there’s so much more to gain.

How am I to balance my idealistic youth?

They justify their sacred lies and crucify the truth.

I have seen and I have been a one-act play called life.

I have won and I have lost, sometimes cuts like a knife.

I’ve been up and I’ve been down, perplexed and yet serene.

I’ve been here and I’ve been there, and somewhere in between.

I am just a poor fool in the middle of the tracks,

Astounded by the beauty, but confounded by the facts.

I am just a blindman who is looking for to find

Somewhere where I can lose myself without losing my mind.

If one day we all can say we’ve had a laugh or two,

We may find that we don’t mind the hard times that we knew.

I am just a simple man, a child of Mother Earth.

Simple, but it’s quite enough to signify my worth.

I am just a simple man, a simple man am I,

And I will be a simple man until the day I die.
